Cleaning like a Pro

Commonly Missed Areas That a Professional Cleaner Never Misses

Cleaning the office seems easy, but it’s easy to forget areas or miss spots. So, as you prepare to clean your office again, ensure you reach every room, nook, and cranny—including these commonly missed areas that a pro cleaner never misses.

Vacuuming Tight Spaces

There’s a chance the edges of the carpets haven’t been properly vacuumed. It’s hard to vacuum if your floors have chords and computer machines on the ground. Even if you thought you cleaned every square inch behind the computer motherboard, check again, because there’s always dust and dirt hidden in the corners. That’s why cleaning the corners should never be neglected.

The best approach to this situation is pulling the machinery out, unplugging the chords, and cleaning around the edges with a vacuum hose. The vacuum hose works gently and picks up every trace of dirt, grime, and crumbs.

Window Blinds

If your office has blinds, you probably don’t think about cleaning them a lot. However, if you don’t dust them off, your employees can become congested and sick from the accumulated pollen in the air. So, to avoid caked-on dust, wipe the window blinds off once a month to reduce the amount of it in the office.

Break Room Kitchenette

In the break room, it’s pretty common to forget to wipe down tables once we finish and clean our dishes. However, by far the worst part of cleaning the kitchen is removing the expired food from the refrigerator and cabinets.

It’s a good idea to clean the kitchen area more than once a month. When it comes to storing food, set a weekly deadline for when everyone needs to eat their food or take it home. Otherwise, you’ll end up with more problems than mildew.

Office Furniture

Office furniture often gets overlooked when the office is getting cleaned. We assume that we only need to worry about vacuuming around the furniture, but that’s not an adequate cleaning job. Wipe the furniture and pick up any garbage sitting on them. Double-check if any wrappers or other trash slipped between cushions.

As you go through your cleaning schedule, assign different tasks to employees to do throughout the week. For instance, have one employee wipe down surfaces, and another can vacuum around the furniture.

Also, you can hire a professional commercial cleaning service that will ensure every corner of the office looks phenomenal when they’re done cleaning. If you keep on forgetting to clean these commonly missed areas that a pro cleaner never misses, then it’s time to bring in extra help.
